I gots women on ma mind especially after international women’s day. What makes a woman “empowered”? Do we think a woman has her s**t together because she has money? Or status? Or beauty? Because she owns something, or people are afraid of her? Because if so, then we are just glorifying the same qualities in a woman that we’ve glorified in men for so long that it contributed to the divide in the first place. In my opinion, an empowered woman is a woman that stands in her power as a feminine being, not a woman doing a really good job at doing something that society has glorified for far too long, where historically men have just had the advantage of being the winner. So what is it to be feminine then? It’s being the soft, delicate, loving woman who creates life with vulnerability and an unapologetic wildness that cannot be contained.
You are empowered woman, whether you have 200 or 20k followers, you are empowered whether you own a business or stay home with the babas, you are empowered when you weep. We need you woman. The rat race for power, status and beauty is crumbling and I think we should help it all fall down.
