That’s a wrap on my 2nd Hockey Alberta Spring/Summer 🏒

It has been a journey-from being intimidated to apply for my first Prospects Cup, to creating a trauma bond with our training staff at a busy Top 80 for WHL Cup, to being appointed Team Therapist of the U18 Team Alberta Women’s Team that travelled to St. John’s for a once in a lifetime experience at National Championships in 2025 💙

Spring Showcase 2026 afforded me the opportunity to be a Trainer at my first Challenge with an unforgettable Boltz squad, followed by working as Head Trainer for Prospects Cup in June. July I was back in the Lead Therapist role for High Performance 1/U15 Men’s Summer Development Camp and finished with U18 Women’s Summer Camp. I was appointed to the 2027 Canada Winter Games staff, which I unfortunately will not be able to attend, but to be nominated by Hockey Alberta was an honour 💛

These weeks are hard work (the step counts don’t lie 🥵) but along with the tired feet, I always leave with sore cheeks/abs from all the giggles with the staff and amazing young athletes we have the pleasure of working with.

I wouldn’t trade the friendships, memories, knowledge and growth from these events for the world 🌎 So here is a note to self to continue doing things that scare me- the best things in life are on the other side.

🏒 Office Update 🏒

Sehn Physiotherapy will be closed July 13–18 while I serve as the Therapist for Team Alberta’s U18 Women’s Summer Camp in Red Deer.

Thank you for your patience and understanding while I’m away. I look forward to returning to the clinic and seeing everyone soon! 💙💛

Sehn Physiotherapy will be closed July 6–11 while I serve as the Lead Therapist for Hockey Alberta’s High Performance 1 & U15 Summer Development Camp in Red Deer.

It is an incredible opportunity to work alongside some of Alberta’s top young hockey athletes and coaching staff, and I am honoured to be part of their development.

It’s Spring Showcase season!!! 🥅🏒

Megan was away from the clinic at the end of last week working at Hockey Alberta’s Challenge supporting female athletes from 2011/12 on Team North Yellow. The team went 4-1 sweeping the Round Robin and placing 2nd 🥈

Tonight she returns to Red Deer to act as Head Trainer for Hockey Alberta’s Prospects Cup, in which male athletes born in 2013 compete on 8 regional teams. She returns to the clinic on Monday May 11th.
