"To an extent, yes. Visible damage like pigmentation, fine lines, and texture can be significantly improved with the right treatments. Laser, Morpheus8, and peels all work to rebuild collagen and resurface the skin.

But sun damage isn't just surface level. UV exposure affects the deeper structure of your skin and, in some cases, the health of the cells themselves. As a plastic surgeon, I'm trained to recognize when something is purely cosmetic versus when it needs medical attention. That distinction matters.

Summer and microblading can absolutely coexist! ✨Here's what our team recommends to make it work✨

🖤 SPF is non-negotiable:
Sun exposure is the number one cause of premature fading. Apply SPF around your brows daily and reapply throughout the day.

🖤 Be mindful in the water:
Chlorine and saltwater can fade pigment faster. Wear a hat or keep your face out of the water when possible.

🖤 Sweating matters:
Excessive sweating (especially in the first few weeks after a fresh appointment) can affect pigment retention. Plan your appointment timing around summer activities.

🖤 Avoid exfoliating around your brows:
Peels, retinol, and exfoliating products break down pigment faster. Keep them away from the brow area.
