Most people think pelvic floor physio is just for one thing.

It’s not.

Our pelvic floor physiotherapist Tanya treats women dealing with pain that’s been minimized, misdiagnosed, or ignored.

If something on that list sounds familiar, it might be time to book a consult.

If you’ve been blaming yourself for your cravings - stop.

Afternoon sugar cravings, hunger that doesn’t quit, a body that feels like it’s working against you. These aren’t character flaws. They’re hormone signals. 🧬

And once we understand what your body is actually asking for, we can work with it. 💪🏻

If the experience is a single event, and we have adequate support afterward, and we have had little or no prior trauma, then we will be left shaken, but the events will feel “behind” us now. If traumatic events have been recurrent, and/or we are developmentally vulnerable, and/or we have inadequate support, we can be left with a host of ‘implicit’ memories, intense responses and symptoms that “tell the story” but without words and without the knowledge that we are remembering.

Can you also relate to this? As a recovering people pleaser I can!

Do you experience guilt that leads to people pleasing and places your needs behind others? If so, feel free to share and know you are NOT alone!!!

Empathy is one of the most sophisticated things your mind does. It's also one of the most exhausting when it runs without limits.

Your non-conscious mind processes other people's emotional states constantly. That attunement is a strength. But when there are no boundaries around it, your nervous system starts absorbing what was never yours to carry. Over time, understanding everyone else becomes losing yourself.

Empathy with structure around it lasts. Your capacity to care for others depends on that structure existing. ➡️ Your boundaries are what keep your empathy intact.

Send this to the person who gives everyone the benefit of the doubt, including people who've hurt them. ❤️‍🩹 👇

Inviting change is not easy ~ and it’s how we grow! 🌱🌱🌱

Everyone says relationships require work, but most people have no idea what that actually means in practice. Doing the work isn't just saying you'll try harder. It's specific, uncomfortable actions that force you to change patterns.

It means having the conversation you've been avoiding. It means owning your part even when it's uncomfortable and you'd rather blame them. It means showing up differently, not just saying you will.

It means catching your old patterns in the moment and choosing a new response instead of defaulting to what's familiar. It means being honest about what you need instead of hoping they figure it out.

It means going to therapy and actually applying what you learn, not just venting about your partner for an hour. It means repairing after a fight instead of sweeping it under the rug and pretending everything's fine.

It means choosing growth over comfort every single day, even when it's exhausting and you'd rather just coast.

Yeeees! Boundaries are a beautiful thing! We have the right and need to set them for ourselves….they are not selfish! 🌱

Most people think boundaries are about building walls or shutting people out. But healthy boundaries sound nothing like that.

They sound like "I'm not available to talk right now, can we reconnect tomorrow?" They sound like "I need to think about that before I give you an answer." They sound like "I can help with this but I can't take that on right now."

Boundaries aren't ultimatums. They're honest communication about what you need and what you're able to give. They protect the relationship as much as they protect you.

And when someone receives them well, that tells you something important about whether this relationship is safe.
