Your mind may be loud right now, but that doesn’t mean everything it says is true. Pause, breathe, and take life one moment at a time. You don’t need all the answers today. You’ll figure it out, and even if things unfold differently than planned, you’ll still be okay.🤍

Self-abandonment happens when we repeatedly ignore our own needs, feelings, boundaries, or values to keep other people comfortable or to avoid losing them. Over time, we can become so focused on holding onto others that we don’t notice we’re losing ourselves.🤍

You don’t have to stop caring about other people.

Just make sure caring about them doesn’t require you to stop caring about yourself.

Pay attention to how your life feels from the inside.

You deserve to be someone you check in on, too. 🤍

If this feels familiar and you’re ready to learn how to change these patterns, reach out. You don’t have to figure it out alone.

Ending August with a grateful heart. 🤍

I think one of the biggest things we can learn in life is that gratitude and difficult things can exist at the same time.

We all have a story. We’ve all experienced things that have hurt us, changed us, disappointed us or broken our hearts. Some of us are grieving people we love. Some are healing from trauma. Some are navigating relationships, loneliness, uncertainty or simply trying to figure life out as we go.

Finding gratitude doesn’t take any of that away or mean we have to pretend everything is okay.

It just gives us another perspective.

We can honour the hard things and still notice the good things. We can miss what we’ve lost and appreciate what we still have. We can have a difficult day and still find one small thing that reminds us that life is worth showing up for.

Sometimes gratitude is something big. And sometimes it’s simply waking up, having another day in front of us and getting another chance to see what life has to offer.

Life can be incredibly hard and incredibly beautiful at the same time.

Ending August remembering to make room for both. 🤍

Healing isn’t about fixing yourself.

You’re not broken.

It’s about growing into the version of yourself that feels most like… you.

The one who protects their peace.
Loves without losing themselves.
Speaks honestly.
Laughs more.
Worries less.
Takes the trip.
Watches the sunset.
Sits by the lake.
Finds beauty in ordinary days.

That’s what healing looks like to me.

Not perfect.
Just free.

Our nervous systems speak to us long before our minds catch up.

I’ve spent seasons of my life ignoring what my body was trying to tell me, pushing through discomfort, explaining away anxiety, and convincing myself certain situations, relationships, or environments were okay when deep down they weren’t.

Looking back, my nervous system knew.

It knew when I felt safe.
It knew when I felt seen.
And it knew when something wasn’t right for me.

Learning to trust those signals has been one of the most important parts of healing. Not every feeling is a fact, but our bodies often carry wisdom that deserves our attention.

Pay attention to how people impact your nervous system.

Do you feel calm, safe, and free to be yourself?

Or do you feel tense, anxious, exhausted, or constantly on edge?

Sometimes the answers we’re looking for aren’t in our thoughts. They’re already in our bodies.

✨ My nervous system knew before I did. ✨
