☀️ We are in the season of summer and this always brings up great conversations about protecting your skin from the sun. ☀️

👉🏼 When to apply ~ apply your favourite SPF after your skin care routine and before makeup

👉🏼 How much to use ~ follow guidelines on product bottle. As shown in the picture of Eminence Defense Daily Tinted SPF * 2 fingers lengths for the face. If you are applying down neck and ears (recommended) apply slightly more.

👀 What ingredients to look for ~ You want Zinc Oxide and / or Titanium dioxide as your active SPF ingredient, 6% or higher recommended. These ingredients shield your delicate skin by reflecting the UVA & UVB rays * very important for your skin's health and protecting you from wrinkles.

🧴🧴 When to RE-apply ~ if you're going to work, and, inside most of the day, then do a morning application and then before you make your trip back home, reapply. The Eminence Sun Defense mineral powders are amazing for application. If you're spending the day at the pool, beach, boat, or out in the sun, reapplication is recommended after water exposure or every 2 hours!

💦 How to cleanse at the end of the day ~ When using a mineral based SPF (zinc & titanium) I recommend using an oil cleanser at the end of the day to remove SPF, sweat, dirt & makeup. A second cleanse with the same cleanser or another one of your skin favourites is recommended.

Here at the Studio we have many skin friendly SPF’s, we would be happy to help you choose the perfect one for your skin.
