Some of you may remember that my social handle used to be Goodnight Sleep Site Halton. Milton was my home.
We started our family in Milton, and made some amazing friends! When we moved, my boys kept in touch with their best friend, Zachary, and his family. Every vacation, the request (and what we did) was to go to Milton to see them. Zach, his brother and his parents are my kids' chosen family.
We are devastated to share that Zach passed away at the young age of 14 1/2 from an aggressive brain tumour on November 25th, 2025.
Zach was calm, funny, humble, courageous, and responsible.. A gentle soul, while also being fearless - he loved speeding up and down his street on his motorbike and attending track days where he got to ride in some of his favourite sports cars. Zach was also smart and hard working. He and two of his good friends from school placed second in the North American Exploravision contest for their ER assistant invention. This was inspired by Zach’s experience with cancer.
A GoFundMe has been set up to help his family with the costs that no parent should have to take on.
