Recovery is not one-size-fits-all, and the voices of people living it matter.
The Canadian Centre on Substance Use and Addiction (CCSA), in collaboration with the Substance Use Experience Collective, is conducting important national research into the experiences of people living in recovery from harmful alcohol or other drug use.
This research matters because recovery can take many forms and follow many different pathways. By listening directly to people with lived and living experience, we can better understand what supports recovery, where gaps still exist, and how services can continue to improve.
The findings will help inform service providers, decision makers, and the public, while also challenging stigma and broadening our understanding of what recovery looks like across Canada.
If you are living in recovery, your experience and your voice can help shape the future of recovery supports in Canada.
