myofascialmississauga.com/instagram Nelin and Justin Krull opened Myofascial Release Mississauga in 2020 and have treated thousands of chronic pain clients with great results using Myofascial Release. Focusing on this mind-body technique that offers healing

for the whole person, has helped their practice become an award winning go-to facility for chronic pain treatment. After years of treating clients in-person, they realize they needed greater reach because there were more people suffering from chronic pain than just the ones who lived in their city. Since then, students of MHA have been able to access self-release techniques for chronic pain healing anytime, anywhere; and have finally gone back to living their lives.

Not flexing…well maybe just at the knee 😋
Fascia gets restricted with chronic stress, old injuries, and years of sitting — and that’s what shows up as first as a clicking knee or stiff hip.
We use John Barnes Myofascial Release®️(MFR) to help gently release those restrictions so movement patterns like this — squatting, kneeling, getting up off the floor — can feel more accessible again.
If your knees/hips/back have been talking you out of moves like this, we’d love to help you explore why. Link in bio to book 📲

Your MRI is normal. Your healthcare providers say nothing is wrong. But you know your body — and something is off 🙅🏻‍♀️

That disconnect usually involves the Fascia.
Fascia is the connective tissue that supports every muscle, nerve, blood vessel and system in your body. When it gets restricted — from trauma, surgery, stress, or even an old injury you thought healed — it may create pain that is real, widespread, and invisible on imaging.

Here are 9 signs your pain may be Fascial in nature:
→ Pain that moves or spreads without a clear pattern
→ Normal MRI, X-ray, or bloodwork — but significant pain
→ Little to no lasting relief from other treatments
→ Tissue that feels stuck, dense, or restricted
→ Worse with sitting or standing for long periods
→ Morning stiffness that takes time to ease
→ Unexplained symptoms like tingling, bladder urgency, or digestive issues
→ History of trauma, surgery, or chronic stress — even from years ago
→ You just know something is wrong, but no one can explain it

If you’re nodding along to this list — your body is communicating something worth listening to.

If you didn't think you needed Myofascial Release for your shoulder pain... here's your sign👇

That tightness you've been ignoring? The ache that flares up when you reach overhead, sleep on your side, or sit at your desk too long?

It's probably not just muscle tension. It could be your fascia.

Fascia is the connective tissue that supports every muscle, joint, and structure in your body — including your entire shoulder complex. When it gets stuck down, it can create that deep, stubborn shoulder pain that keeps coming back.

Myofascial Release is a slow, gentle and body-led therapy that engages the fascial restrictions behind your shoulder pain — going beyond the symptoms.

This is may be for you if you're dealing with:
→ Chronic shoulder pain or tightness
→ Rotator cuff issues
→ Frozen shoulder
→ Neck and shoulder tension
→ Pain that keeps coming back no matter what you try

"Be unwavering in what is possible for your health." — Shannon Stoby

How many times have you been told:
💬”That's just part of getting older." "Some women are just built that way." "You've had children — this is normal now."

Women hear this messaging every single day.

And we want to say this clearly:

YOU DO NOT HAVE TO ACCEPT THIS. INSTEAD GET CURIOUS ABOUT IT.

Your body is not betraying you. It is communicating — and when you finally learn to listen, everything changes.

Myofascial Release works with the connective tissue — the fascia — that supports, and directly influences the structures of your pelvic floor. Not just the muscles. The whole web of tissue that holds your bladder, uterus, bowel, hips, and lower back in relationship with each other.

When that tissue is tight, restricted, or potentially holding old trauma, no amount of strengthening exercises will get to the root of it.

But when it releases?

Women describe it as coming home to their bodies for the first time.

We're inviting you to stop accepting less than what's actually possible.

Shannon Stoby, RPT, offers pelvic floor Myofascial Release at our Mississauga clinic.

If you've been told to just live with it — there's another conversation waiting for you here.

If you snore, your body is asking for something most people never address👇
The quality of your breathing at night is determined by the mobility of your nervous system.
The connection between your pelvis and the bones of your skull determines how your skull is positioned in space — and your tongue, jaw, and airway muscles follow.
Restrictions in the fascial system affect both and can create a downstream effect that shows up as poor sleep, snoring, or waking up exhausted.
MFR works with the whole chain. Not just the local symptoms.

✉️ Share this with the snorer keeping you up at night!
OR if that person is YOU; Book a session → link in bio.

As an MFR therapist, I’m very intentional about how I regulate my nervous system — because it supports healthy fascia, and healthy fascia supports a regulated nervous system.

Here’s what my week looked like off the screen:

1. Myofascial self-treatment 🙌 Fascia gets stuck down under repeated stress. Regular self-treatment keeps my tissue hydrated, mobile, and out of that chronic “bracing” pattern that feeds the stress cycle. My Myofascial Ball contraption with the sock has been clutch this week.

2. Yoga with Adriene on YouTube 🧘‍♀️ Slow, intentional movement is one of the most powerful ways to shift the nervous system from sympathetic overdrive into parasympathetic rest. The practices that creates are exactly the kind of mindful movement I seek.

3. Snuggled with my pup 🐾 Physical touch — even with animals — releases oxytocin and drops cortisol. My dog is genuinely one of my best nervous system tools and she’s been sick recently so we really needed some extra snuggles this week.

4. Listened to solfeggio frequencies 🎵 Sound directly influences the autonomic nervous system. Certain frequencies support deep relaxation, cellular repair, and a sense of safety in the body. My body literally feels more at peace I listen to this frequency.

5. Hydrated with herbal tea & kombucha 🍵 Myofascial self-treatment can open up pathways for hydration (see more about this on my substack) so hydrating before and after getting on my mat is key. Herbal tea & Kombucha, particulary and 🥭 are my favourites

Your nervous system & fascial system are deeply interconnected. Honouring that connection can make a big impact on how you feel in your body.
