5 Things to Avoid With Tinnitus — and What to Do Instead

When tinnitus is bothering you, it’s easy to focus on getting rid of the sound. But sometimes, the things we do to cope can actually make tinnitus feel more noticeable.

In this video, I’m breaking down 5 common things to avoid if you have tinnitus—and, more importantly, what you can do instead to make it easier to manage.

The goal isn’t to fear the sound. It’s to help your brain give it less attention over time.

So, you just got hearing aids… and suddenly everything sounds weird? 👂

Your own voice sounds different. The fridge is louder than you remember. Your footsteps are surprisingly noisy.

The good news? A lot of this is completely normal.

But not everything is.

In this video, I’m breaking down what’s expected during the adjustment period, what could be a sign your hearing aids need fine-tuning, and how to know the difference.

Getting used to hearing aids isn’t about “just wearing them”—it’s about making sure they’re programmed properly and supported along the way.

A few weeks ago, I had the chance to present to audiologists from across North America and Europe on how YouTube has changed the way we educate patients and grow our practice.

I also had the privilege of learning from some of the best in the field, including Nancy Duncan Hearing Healthcare and Julie Cornerstone Audiology

Hearing aids might be one of the most misunderstood healthcare purchases out there 👀

This week, we’re breaking down what hearing aids really cost. Why are prices all over the map? Do you actually get what you pay for? And what determines the cost in the first place?

Spoiler alert: it’s not just the hearing aids themselves. 🎧

Technology, service, follow-up care, warranties, programming, and ongoing support all play a much bigger role than most people realize.

Hearing aids are great… but sometimes they need a teammate.

Still struggling in noise, on the TV, or during conversations from across the room? A wireless accessory might be the upgrade you didn’t know you needed.

Watch our latest video to see how these small devices can make a BIG difference in the hearing game.

When “good enough” just isn’t cutting it… we don’t settle, we switch gears 😏

This patient came to us frustrated from another clinic after being told their hearing aids couldn’t fit any better. Even the manufacturer threw in the towel. But we don’t believe in dead ends — only detours.

So we made a bold move, partnered with a different company, and guess what? Perfect fit. Happy patient. Mic drop 🎤

Moral of the story: if it’s not working, it’s not the final answer — it’s just the wrong solution.
