With over twenty years experience in the field Dr. Saundra Hewitt (DVM, DVSc, DACVS) brings a balance of experience and expertise to the diagnosis and treatment of your pet. Our very own Lion King - Mocha!

This king presented to the ER department as he was unable to urinate. This is a life threatening condition in male felines. He was transferred to the surgical department for a Perineal urethrostomy or PU surgery. His surgery was a success and this is Mocha at his recheck.

He has healed very well and we are so delighted to have gotten to spend so much time with this sweet boy!

🐾 This sweet little girl came to see us after experiencing intermittent gagging and difficulty eating. After being carefully sedated by our experienced veterinary nursing team, we were able to get a closer look and discovered the cause — a sewing needle! 🪡

Thanks to the skill and expertise of our veterinary team, the needle was safely removed, and this brave girl was back home resting comfortably just a few hours later. 💙

A reminder that curious pets can get into unexpected things. If you notice changes in your pet's eating habits, gagging, vomiting, or signs of discomfort, don't wait to have them assessed.

Our ACA/CSR Supervisor, Danielle, brought in Kali, her brother's dog, after Kali started experiencing some GI issues. Gunner tagged along to provide moral support for his buddy. 🐾❤️

But judging by this photo... we're not entirely sure who is supporting who. 🤔😂

It is always bittersweet to say see you later to our team members who are leaving to begin a new journey in Veterinary Medicine, but we are always so, so proud of all they will become and accomplish.

We have an open concept treatment & hospital area; our enclosures are strategically placed for visibility from our entire team. Large patients are provided comfortable bedding and are right where we can see and speak to them! Conveniently located right in front of our ER doctors work station so there are constant interactions with any patient in our care!
