Why we do what we do ❤ Bestie and Me
Repost from my ever so gorgeous 👯♀️BFF
Can't be explained any better 💯
LOW CARB LIFE or LOAD OF BS?!
There hasn’t been a single diet created that I haven’t tried and “failed” at, because it was never about nourishment and always about “fitting in” and “proving” to others that I was trying to get healthy.
Nobody other than yourself needs to make a decision about what food you eat, how much you exercise, how your body should look, what clothes you wear. That’s super personal and needs to stay that way.
Personally, my mind and body thrive when I am not overloading my system with sugar and starch. For me, it’s about all the other goodness that comes with using food as fuel and not as reward/punishment.
Some of the benefits I have experienced are:
⚖️No calorie counting, weighing, measuring or portion control - YAY!
💥High, sustained energy and focus during the day
Improved sleep and restfulness (I am insomniac thanks to my meds)
🥰Satiety: No cravings, No feelings of being deprived
Improvements in my skin (we know that’s a big one for my recovery)
💆🏻♀️Not obsessively thinking of food all day
🤓No urges to “cheat” or have “days off” from my routine.
💃🏻Highly adaptable when I am socialising or out for meals
👨👩👦Super family friendly - yay for one pot meals.
🤝Changing my relationship with food for the best
👟Motivation to exercise regularly
💉Keeping diabetes at bay
🥒Eating much more greens, cruciferous vegetables.
🥬🎣🥩Can be just as effective for a vegetarian, pescatarian or meat lover
By no means am I a nutritionist, I am purely taking you along my journey.
