For some, Pride Month brings celebration and connection.

For others, it can also bring grief, fear, loneliness, or reminders of times they did not feel accepted or safe.

At ITSR, we believe mental health care should be affirming, respectful, and grounded in creating emotional safety for all clients.

You deserve support where you can show up fully as yourself.

Happy Pride Month! 🌈

A common misconception is that trauma only refers to major, obvious events.

In reality, trauma can also come from ongoing stress, difficult relationships, or experiences where you didn’t feel safe or supported.

Anything that happens that feels:
❤️‍🩹too much, too fast, too soon (sudden, overwhelming events)
❤️‍🩹too much for too long (prolonged exposure to stress)
❤️‍🩹too little for too long (ongoing neglect of basic needs like safety, nurturance, emotional attunement)

If something impacted you, it matters.

And it’s worth getting support.

One of the biggest barriers to starting therapy is not knowing what to expect.

A lot of people worry they won’t say the “right” thing, or that they need to have everything figured out first.

📣 YOU DON'T! Come as you are, we'll figure out the rest.

Therapy is a space to show up as you are, and start from there.

What if today was the day you chose healing over holding it in?

Available in Stratford, Mitchell, and virtually.

Mental health isn’t only something to think about when things fall apart.

It shows up in your stress levels, your relationships, your sleep, and how you move through your day.

This year’s Mental Health Awareness theme is “come together," highlighting how important connection is for our wellbeing.

And while connection can be a powerful part of healing, it’s not always easy.

If you’re feeling disconnected, overwhelmed, or like you’re carrying things on your own, you’re not alone in that experience.

Support can be part of “coming together” too.

At ITSR, we offer therapy for trauma, anxiety, relationships, and more—with in-person sessions in Stratford and Mitchell, as well as virtual options across Ontario.

If you’ve been thinking about reaching out, this could be your sign.
