Congratulations to Dan Smith!

The New Brunswick Federation of Labour (NBFL), in collaboration with Argus Audiology, has recognized Dan Smith as the Seventh Recipient of the Owen MacLennan Trade Unionist of the Year Award.

In recognition, Argus Audiology proudly donated $1000, in Dan Smith’s name, to the NBFL Blair Doucet Summer Camp.

This award recognizes individual trade unionists who made a significant and/or ongoing contribution to the labour movement. It was created in loving memory of Owen MacLennan (Norma Eaton’s father) who passed away in 2010.

Owen worked at Eastern Bakeries from 1951 to 1994. He had a strong work ethic and was an active member of the Bakery, Confectionery, To***co and Grain Millers Union (BCTGM) Local 406 in Moncton.
