Maritime Allergy Clinic is a locally owned medical clinic that has been providing allergy services to greater Moncton and surrounding communities for the last 20 years. The clinic is staffed by a team of experienced secretarial staff , registered nurses and medical doctors

OUR SERVICES :

- a comprehensive history of allergies including symptoms, triggers, medications, family and personal medica

l history and expectations of treatment

- Skin testing for common environmental and food allergens

- Blood testing for venom and penicillin allergy

- Same day interpretation of results

- Recommendations for therapy

- Allergen immunotherapy ( if indicated )

- Communication back to your attending physician

- Consultation and Skin testing covered by provincial Medicare plans with accompanying physician referral


PREPARING FOR YOUR VISIT :

- NO allergy pills for 7 days prior to appt

- NO cough & cold products for 7 days prior to appt

-NO Gravol 7 days prior to appt

-NO testing will be done on pregnant patients ( testing will be arranged once baby is born )

-BRING an up to date list of your current medications

Things to know before your scheduled appointment

Allergy Medications must be stopped 1 week prior to your appointment as it can interfere with the test results. This includes: cough and cold medications, antihistamines (Claritin, Reactine, Aerius, Benadryl, etc.,)

Appointments take approximately 1 hour - this includes a comprehensive history, a skin prick test for specific allergens and physician consultation.

Please bring a current list of medications and your Medicare card and ensure it is valid. If expired, you will be responsible for the cost of your visit.

A savoir avant votre rendez-vous

Les médicaments contre les allergies doivent être arrêtés une semaine avant votre rendez-vous, car ils peuvent fausser les résultats des tests. Cela inclut : les médicaments contre la toux et le rhume, les antihistaminiques (Claritin, Réactine, Aérius, Bénadryl, etc.).
