THE ART OF RELATING đŸ€đŸŒżâœš

This was more than a live podcast experience. It was a living reminder that relationship is not something we simply stumble into. It is our birthright. A practice we cultivate, a study, an art, and a conscious way of living.

Held at La Maison Ralia, we gathered for an evening of honest conversation, reflection, and shared presence with Ben Mumme, Dylan Moscovitch, and Mariana Mae as we explored what it means to live in right relationship with ourselves, with time, our values, our kin, the ecosystems we are part of, and the natural world around us.

In a time where we are constantly connected, yet so many quietly feel disconnected, this space became an invitation to pause. To slow down enough to listen deeply, step beyond the noise and pace of everyday life, and return to what is true.

We explored how the art of relating begins within. It begins in the way we meet ourselves, hold our thoughts, honour our emotions, and tend to our inner world. From there, relationship extends into every part of life. It shapes how we move through time, what we choose to value, how we show up for those we love, and the role we play within the communities and ecosystems that hold us.

A heartfelt thank you elle imbeault for nourishing us through food prepared with so much love and intention, and to Brendan Baxter from Cocktail En Fût for the thoughtful mocktails that brought warmth and care to the evening.

A special thank you to đˆđ„đąđš 𝐔𝐬𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐹𝐯 | Photographer ‱ Videographer for recording the live podcast experience and to Leana Paparella for capturing the heart of the night so beautifully.

We are equally grateful to La Maison Ralia for holding this vision so intentionally, and to Desiree Escalante Ruiz, Mya Pearle Nerenberg, and Dunia Darwiche for the care, presence, and support in bringing this experience to life.

And to everyone who showed up, friends, family, and new faces, thank you for your openness, honesty, and willingness to step into this space with heart.

These are the spaces that remind us of something essential. We are not alone. We are meant to gather, to listen, to grow, and to return again and again to the practice of relating more consciously.

Until next time, much love â€ïžâ€đŸ”„

Most people obsess over the price of gold and silver. Matthew Piepenburg obsesses over the reason. There is a difference.

Many feel the slow erosion of purchasing power, even if they cannot fully explain it. Whether the regime is left or right, whether a central bank is hawkish or dovish, the result often looks the same.

More currency. Less value. It feels like invisible theft.

Matthew’s message is not blind agreement. It is study.

Study the history of gold and silver. Study their role in monetary resets. Study how they behaved when confidence in paper weakened.

When you do that, something shifts. You stop asking whether the price is too high.

Because you realize you are measuring gold in paper money anyway. And if the measuring stick itself is unstable, the number becomes less important.

Gold and silver are not quarterly trades. They are long-term protection.

They are not about outperforming an index next month. They are about stepping outside a system that depends on constant expansion.

The real question is not, “Is this expensive?” The real question is, “Why am I holding this?”

If the answer is speculation, conviction will be fragile. If the answer is preservation, time becomes your ally.

Once you understand that distinction, you stop watching the ticker so closely.

And you start thinking more clearly about what wealth is meant to protect.

02/10/2026

Most people don’t realize this, but money and currency are not the same thing. Once you see the difference, it changes how you view the entire financial system.

Gold and silver are money because they exist on their own. They are real, tangible, and scarce. Their value does not come from promises or policies. It comes from what they are.

Currency is different. It is created by governments and managed by central banks. It is backed by confidence rather than substance. There is no natural limit to how much of it can be created.

That distinction matters more than people think, especially in uncertain times.

When you hold gold or silver, you are holding property. It belongs to you outright. There is no counterparty and no dependency on the system continuing to function.

Fiat currency is not property in that same sense. It is a financial instrument. Useful, familiar, and widely accepted, but fragile. Its purchasing power depends on restraint from institutions that benefit from expanding it.

Gold and silver do not rely on restraint. They rely on history.

For thousands of years, across civilizations and collapses, they have been chosen as money. Not because they were declared so, but because people trusted them.

Money is simply a medium of exchange. And long before it appeared in law, it was embedded in human behavior.

What do you think matters more today, trust in institutions or trust in what is real?

Once you understand the difference between money and currency, you cannot unsee it.

Understanding the difference between attachment and authenticity isn’t about staying calm. It’s about being honest about what’s actually happening inside us.

Many people think security means harmony. Feeling regulated, peaceful, and steady. But real safety doesn’t come from being calm all the time. It comes from authenticity. Being truthful, even when emotions are uncomfortable.

There’s a common misunderstanding that secure attachment equals constant calm. In reality, calm can become something we chase to avoid difficult feelings. Often, we end up teaching what we still need to learn ourselves.

Authenticity allows room for emotion, disagreement, and change. It may not feel soothing, but it creates trust because it’s real.

That’s why calm is often overrated. Not because it’s unhelpful, but because it isn’t the goal.

Real security comes from being able to show up as you are, not from keeping everything smooth on the surface.

If this resonates, share it with someone who feels pressure to always stay calm 😌
