I get asked about belly fat in perimenopause more than almost anything else. And every time, the person asking already knows the real answer... they're just hoping I'll hand them a shortcut instead.
There isn't one.
No supplement. No fasting window. No 5am 487 step morning routine some influencer swears by. If you've been waiting to find the one thing that fixes it, I need you to stop waiting. It doesn't exist.
Here's what does work, and none of it is exciting:
Calorie deficit still matters. Hormones just make it harder to get there and harder to stay there: your sleep, hunger, cravings, energy, and brain fog all get in the way.
You can be eating healthy and still not be in a calorie deficit. "Healthy" isn't the same as "less than you burn." Nobody wants to hear that. It's still true.
Track your food honestly, every day, not three days and then "I basically know what I eat."
Lift heavy. Pilates is awesome, keep it if you love it, but it's not replacing strength training.
Sleep like it matters and manage your stress. Not because your belly is made of cortisol, but because your body can't do any of this well when it's running on empty.
Walk daily. Throw in some speed intervals.
None of these is THE thing. All of them, done consistently, for longer than you want to, is the thing. Consistency beats perfection every time.
Comment RESET and I'll send you a free 7-day plan to get it moving.
