It’s important to tap into the gifts brought on by loss. A great gift I have felt before and am feeling now is the importance of being loyal to the direction you need to follow and caring less about what (especially negative) people think. What it feels like when your thoughts are all there and yet fragmented, after a traumatic experience. Remember - trauma to the mind is not always catastrophic, sometimes it’s mild and episodic, sometimes it’s ongoing and relational, sometimes so subtle that not even a trauma specialist thinks to look for it. And sometimes yet, it is appropriate and temporary. Talk to your therapist to work through a proper understanding that’s related to your own unique situation, development and growth.

⭐️ International Pride ⭐️ Have pride in being aware of cultures and ways of being that are different from your what is historically appearing to be your own; and do not be afraid to celebrate the beauty of different ways of being as they become yours too. It is a sign of maturity and success when you are able to share in the joys of diverse ways of being and feeling and seeing. We are all all one family of such different people and ways of loving.

⭐️ Silence as Wisdom ⭐️ True success is inward. It’s being at peace with the savage reality of nature, of which our bodies and lives are a part. And this, is overwhelmingly beautiful, & unbearably terrifying , all at once. That’s why focusing on outward success is so addictive. Noise is easier to handle, than the silent knowledge that everything and everyone ends; it is easier to obsess about the shallow waters of material successes, as though they are somehow the deep and meaningful oceanic answers to our common existential suffering. After all, it takes no skill to be a shallow, empty shell, compared to the work of returning to our home, that dreadful and exciting place where we are entirely with ourselves.
