Water season

Im quite sure someone told me once ( .w in herb class? ) that we are genetic cousins with seaweed somewhere back in the day . If it nots true I don’t care tho cos I’ve decided I like this fact and it’s now my adopted lore

This red fun seaweed friend floated their way to us & wrapped around my arm I could imagine a time I was once of the ocean … and the way it might feel to have a different kind of outer coating / skin / vessel … but also I kinda loved my seaweed sleeve as an outfit ?

And then holding it up to the sun to see the stars …

And how the colours shift reminiscent of leather/ hide tanning, promising a softness of suede .

Hey gorgeous people !

You can now find me offering c section & uterine scarwork .inc a perinatal and family clinic in vendome .

It’s a lovely team of interdisciplinary therapists offering a full spectrum of care to those in the perinatal experience .

Im thrilled to have a more dedicated space to support c section & uterine surgery scars , and you can follow my new page for more specific posts & info about this type of care .

I particularly love integrating my somatic experiencing skills to support folks to be more resourced in accessing scarwork , to support gentle integration around birth and medical stories / trauma , as well as holding space for the emotions that emerge on the table .

If you know of anyone who would love some somatic trauma trained scar care post surgery for c sections , hysto , endo & fibroid surgeries - please do direct them my way!

It’s been a joy holding space for folks who are looking for support that integrates physical, emotional, somatic & spiritual aspects of care - where the whole self is welcome on the table .

There’s been a lot of supporting folks coming in feeling disconnected , fragmented , dissociated , whose nervous systems are holding a lot of weight - and Iv loved holding that space with you and guiding a gentle return to feeling more human , whole , integrated and grounded .

We can support opening , release , circulation so your chests and upper body are more mobile & less restricted so you can swim, cycle , climb , dance , flirt all summer long !

Hey everyone !

I know this sounds too good to be true , but its defo true .

Thanks to a special gift I am able to offer ten bodywork sessions for free specifically for q***r bipoc entrepreneurs.

As a freelance entrepreneur myself whose sole income is bodywork - i bloody know the hustle , the stress , the uncertainty & precarity , as well as the toll on your nervous system and physical body .

This compounded with the added layers of race , migration , gender , sexuality as well as class can be a bubbling soup of all the s**t triggering you all the fu***ng time .

So this offer holds a special place in my heart - if you are someone who feels that fatigue in your bones , whose spinning a million plates and living hand to mouth every month , then I would love to hold space for you.

You can nominate yourself or someone you know just by tagging them below or DM me their email & webpage if they don’t have IG.

Ten folks will be picked by random selection after April 20th .

Last week was a gorgeous workshop The Peoples Medicine Class co hosted with .fae .

Offered at the Onyx Lab as part of their community workshop series .

It felt super special to share the radical history of the 5 point ear acupuncture protocol developed by the Black Panthers and the Young Lords - whose work embodied mutual aid, community care , health autonomy , by and for approach , harm reduction and literally people’s medicine .

Offering folks to experience this protocol and notice their somatic responses , and then teaching folks how to use ear seeds on themselves and others so they can take this medicine home with them .

Followed by learning how to explore your own energetic field , self energy healing and how we share energy with others .

Thanks to everyone who came and we hope to offer more of these spaces in the future !

May this mood carry me through the threshold of 35 and into the following decade . 🙏🏽

Deep gratitude to community, earth & ancestors for bringing me this far in life .

35 feels an achievement , like an oh s**t I actually kept myself alive until this point , im impressed kinda.

30-31 felt like a portal … 35 feels like a softer version of that , I can feel the foundation beneath me in a diff way .

I recently did my bazi and learnt im a yang fire 🔥 so now I have a whole new identity which feels like a fun shift from my earth heavy 6 x cap of western Astro

Let’s see what that brings ;)

A field guide on how to survive a depoliticised somatic trauma training :

Gather your QT/BIPOC friends & form a temporary polycule

Rent a 4 story mini mansion with an indoor elevator & rooftop hot tub by the lake

Watch at least three different reality tv shows by your fake fire

Boulder on any surface you can find in your pjs

Hike in the fog & drink water from a juniper bush

Make many nonsensical memes

Grocery shop like it’s the only regulation tool you have - bonus points if you end up with 600 carrots , 10 tubs of peanut butter & 15 yoghurt pots

This autumn yellow was the love of my eyes and my heart . Arresting , magnificent , soothing .

For those of you who know me I am OBSESSED with mustard yellow , that golden butter yellow , the ochre

Hwang ( yellow ) is my mother’s maiden name .

A few years ago as I was connecting with Korean traditions I found out yellow “ Hwang “ corresponds to the center within the cardinal directional points . Associated with the element earth and the virtue of trust .

Yellow held me in the autumn of 2018 as I processed the grief of my aunts death . Yellow kept me tethered to this plane , reminded me I had the capacity to be with & feel grief slowly and surely , one shard at a time .

This autumn Iv been finding the seasonal transition tough alongside the uncertainty of our sociopolitical times and the economic crisis we are currently in.

Many days have felt like a rough sea and once again Iv found the gift of yellow in the turning of the leaves reach out to me , a moment of grounding , a quiet comfort … a reminder to anchor into my centre .
