Most people meet yoga at the third limb.
Āsana.
And sometimes, that's where yoga ends for us too.
But Patañjali described an eight-limbed path. One that begins with how we live, moves through the body and breath, turns the senses inward, gathers the mind, and eventually moves beyond the separation between the one experiencing and the experience itself.
Yama → Niyama → Āsana → Prāṇāyāma → Pratyāhāra → Dhāraṇā → Dhyāna → Samādhi
The postures are yoga.
But they are not all of yoga.
Perhaps the most interesting part of the practice is the part nobody can see.
