I am honored to have been nominated by my colleagues to be a member of the Board of Governors of the Collège des Médécins du Quebec.I have been a tireless advocate for my patients for 30 years. IT'S TIME to shake things up for the benefit of patients and all health care!

As a specialist in family medicine since 1998, with extensive experience in clinical practice, leadership and advocacy, I am excited to contribute to the governance and strategic direction of the College, a vital institution to the health and well-being of the population of Quebec.
Beyond my clinical responsibilities, I have had the privilege of serving in several leadership roles within the medical community. As representative for the Montreal region on the board of directors of the Quebec chapter of the Canadian College of Family Physicians, I was actively involved in the development of the policy for the recognition of family medicine as a specialty by the CMQ as well as by the other provinces.
Having obtained a dual MBA from McGill University and UdeM in 2011, I have participated in numerous quality improvement initiatives in medicine. These include the introduction of the WHO Surgical Safety Checklist at MUHC (with Dr. Arthur Porter) for the reduction of risks associated with surgery. In addition, as a Fellow of the American Society of Laser Medical and Surgery, I facilitated the exposure of young students, residents and doctors to various novel techniques using lasers and radiofrequency. My leadership style is collaborative, and I strongly believe in the power of diverse perspectives to drive innovation and excellence in healthcare.
Recently, I have been stunned by the silence of the CMQ in defending the rights of all patients to receive health care unequivocally in the language of their choice. My goal is a just, proactive, CMQ that defends the rights of all patients-not a reactive one.
