Meet LaMa's Pilates Instructor Kimberley De Jong

Kimberley has been dancing professionally for 20 years in the territories of Tiohtià:ke, Montreal.

She has danced for choreographers Marie Chouinard, Frédérick Gravel, Sylvain Emard and Danièle Desnoyers, to name a few. She has maintained her career as a dancer and choreographer whilst having three children. Having her first child led her to become a postpartum and birth doula.

She is a certified Classical Pilates instructor through Real Pilates, New York. Facilitating people towards their potential and best health through PTI (Pilates Therapeutic Instructor) brings her a lot of joy.

This short piece, written and performed by Sarah Wenaus, translates to “Prelude of the Bells” in English. Historically, bells have been used to call upon people to worship or to summon the divine. I was inspired to write this piece shortly after the COVID-19 pandemic began as I feel humanity overall is deeply disconnected from their higher consciousness and is in great need of spiritual reconnection. Throughout this piece, you will repeatedly hear the sound of bells ringing, calling upon Spirit to help our planet and all living beings that dwell upon it.
