Meet Dr. Kirolos Ewida!

🌎Where are you from?
- I was born in Egypt and grew up in Mississauga from the age of nine. My medical training has taken me across the world and now I am excited and grateful to be in London.

🎓Where did you go to medical school?
- I graduated from St. George’s University of London. My first two years of medical school were completed in Cyprus. My final two years of medical school were completed in Chicago, followed by a two-year internship in London, UK.

💉What inspired you to pursue family medicine?
- I chose family medicine because it captures the breadth of healthcare and offers the opportunity to care for patients through their different stages of life. I enjoy being able to address a wide range of health concerns while getting to know the people behind them.

🏥Why did you choose Southwest Middlesex Health Centre for your residency?
- I chose Southwest Middlesex Health Centre because of the people who make it such a positive place to learn and work. The support from the supervisors, nursing staff, administrators, and entire team stood out to me, and I was drawn to the clinic's strong teaching environment.

😎What's one fun fact about yourself or a hobby you enjoy outside of family medicine?
- Outside of family medicine, I am either spending time with family or friends, ​playing basketball or continuing my quest to find the best ramen spot (always open to suggestions!).

Meet Dr. Claudia Tersigni!

🌎Where are you from?
- I was born in Mississauga and raised in Woodbridge, Ontario. Throughout medical school, I also spent time living and training in Mount Brydges.

🎓Where did you go to medical school?
- I completed my MD at the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry at Western University.

💉What inspired you to pursue family medicine?
- I was drawn to the continuity of care, the variety of practice, and the opportunity to build long-term relationships with patients and their families while caring for people at every stage of life.

🏥Why did you choose Southwest Middlesex Health Centre for your residency?
- After completing multiple rotations in the region, I knew it was where I wanted to train. The supportive team, broad rural scope of practice, and strong sense of community made it feel like the perfect fit.

😎What's one fun fact about yourself or a hobby you enjoy outside of family medicine?
- I love baking, gardening, and trying new fun hobbies like pottery and Pilates. I love spending time with my family and friends and particularly enjoy sharing meals together. I also like to unwind by spending time outdoors with my dog, Scooter.
