Behind every meal is a team that cares. 🍽️

For Healthcare Food Services Week, we’re taking a closer look at the people, processes and care that go into every meal served at Louise Marshall Hospital.

From meeting individual dietary needs to food safety, meal preparation and delivery, our Food Services teams play an important role in the patient experience — while also serving staff and visitors in our cafeterias.

Thank you to our Food Services team for all that you do to nourish, support and care for our patients, staff, physicians, volunteers and visitors every day.

Today, we celebrate the older adults in our communities and recognize the many ways they contribute to our families, workplaces and communities.

At Louise Marshall Hospital, we’re grateful for the opportunity to care for and support seniors across the communities we serve. Our teams are committed to providing seniors with compassionate, specialized care and support throughout their health care journey.

Throughout September, our WHCA team has been taking time to learn, reflect and deepen our understanding of Truth and Reconciliation in health care.

As we mark National Day for Truth and Reconciliation today, we reflect on the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s Calls to Action 18–23, which focus on health and call for addressing health inequities, recognizing Indigenous health experiences, supporting Indigenous healing practices, and increasing Indigenous representation in healthcare.

Our learning has also included opportunities to gather and reflect through Sacred Fires, hosted by Indigenous Knowledge Carriers, Fire Keepers, and Helpers at our hospital site creating space for connection, listening, and learning.

As a health care team, we know that reconciliation is an ongoing journey. We remain committed to continuing to learn, reflect, and take meaningful steps toward providing care that is safe, respectful, inclusive, and culturally responsive.

Happy IT Professionals Day!

Behind every patient chart accessed, every clinical system running, every secure connection made, and every piece of technology working when it’s needed most, there’s an IT professional helping make it possible.

Their work often happens behind the scenes, but its impact is felt across our entire hospital. For our doctors, nurses and clinical teams, reliable technology means they can focus on what matters most — caring for patients. And for our non-clinical teams, IT helps keep the systems, tools and connections they rely on every day running smoothly.

From cybersecurity and system infrastructure to troubleshooting, connectivity and support, our IT teams help keep our hospital connected, secure and moving forward.

Thank you to our IT professionals for supporting every part of our hospital and helping every team do what they do best.
