Hi friends, just hopping on for an update before I head into a busy summer season! This is going to be a longer post - apologies! A lot of my clients really appreciate these types of posts.

I haven’t been super active on my socials the last few months - my 2026 goal was to try my best to separate work life from home life, as much as one can do that while being a business owner, I experienced extreme burnout in 2025 and resulted in a lot of mental health days. My fiancee has began working away again on long rotations of 5 weeks away, 12 days home. Last year, when he worked this same rotation, I spent a lot of the 5 week rotations at the salon doing “extra” so I could justify being off an additional few days while he was home. This year is very different, as Janey, our salon dog, no longer enjoys spending her days at FATE & Co, and would much rather stay home and be a couch potato (can’t blame her!!). Because of this, I’m spending more time working from home on the business side of things, and less time working behind the chair.

As we head into the summer months (just missing the consistent summer weather, lol), I’d like to remind clients to please prebook your appointments well in advance. Due to working less behind the chair, it’s crucial that you book your next 2 appointments to ensure you get your desired appointment time - extension maintenance girlies, or anyone who has longer appointments (ie extension removal + colour/foils + reinstall), I’m especially talking to you! My schedule behind the chair, is currently Tuesdays 3pm-8pm, Wednesdays 9am-5pm, and Thursdays 3pm-8pm with a scatter Friday available for Bridal Trials (by request only). You’ll also find me in the salon most Mondays 9am-5pm, and Thursdays 10am-3pm doing admin work. I do not offer any weekend availability, often times I head out of town if I don’t have a wedding. I cannot take clients outside of this set schedule as other staff members are using my chair on my opposite schedule.

My summer holidays this year start on July 10th, to the 20th, and I’ll return back to work on July 21st. My availability between now and then is extremely limited. I have space for a few colours, and smaller appointments like Weft Move Ups, Haircuts & Consults. My next foil appointment as of right now is July 22nd, and my next big evening slot is August 4th. If you’d like to add yourself to my waitlist, you can do so on our website or by calling the salon directly. Waitlisted clients will get first priority if a space opens up vs clients in my inbox.

2026 is my biggest wedding year since I started offering Bridal Services. I currently have 20 brides on the books, and 2 of them are already completed. If you know me, you know that bridal is where my heart is, and I take an immense amount of pride in the systems I’ve created & my skill in styling. To keep myself super organized, I have created google forms linked to spreadsheets for all bridal inquiries. To inquire about pricing, availability, etc, please fill out the corresponding form for your wedding year & I’ll do my best to get back to you with package details. These links are available for brides looking for hair, and/or makeup.

I’ve had a ton of questions about our extension line, FATE Hair Extensions, and when we will be relaunching our extensions to the public. Keep an eye to our social media for any updates.

As per scheduling appointments, it’s extremely recommend to use our website to browse availability and book your desired time slot & service. Our booking site has been thoughtfully curated to benefit both us, and our clients. We are always open ears if you have any recommendations on how to make your experience with us easier. If you are unsure what to book, or cannot figure out how to navigate our website, please contact the salon via call or text at 709-743-3164 and someone will get back to you during business hours. As always, most clients also have my direct personal cell number to contact me, but if I’m out of the salon, I’ll most likely direct you to the front desk & they can look after you. My personal line is often backed up with tons of messages from family & friends, so it’s easy for clients to get lost in my inbox or not receive a response at all. I often will post last minute availability (most times with discounts attached), important info, or even model calls in my channel on IG, if you haven’t joined it yet, I’d highly recommend! Happy Tuesday🌼

As many of you know, I’m entering my busiest season of the year. The summer months are often just as busy as the holiday rush—only spread out over a longer period.

During this time, my schedule may require occasional adjustments on short notice. Some weeks I may have added flexibility, while others may be more limited. My fiancé has returned to his regular rotation of five weeks away and two weeks home. During the periods he is home, I will be taking a few additional days off. As his return dates can sometimes shift due to unforeseen delays, this may result in occasional rescheduling or reduced availability.

To ensure you secure appointments that work best for you, I strongly recommend pre-booking your next two to three visits in advance.

Summer also brings a high volume of weddings, many of which take place on Fridays, Saturdays, and occasionally Sundays. When I have a fully booked wedding weekend, I will need to take an extra day or two off during the week to maintain a sustainable schedule. Wedding work often involves very early mornings and long hours on my feet, along with the responsibility of preparing clients for one of the most important days of their lives, which can be both physically and mentally demanding.

Balancing salon operations, in-chair services, weddings, and personal responsibilities can be challenging during this season. Pre-booking your appointments and using online booking tools whenever possible for scheduling changes will help ensure a smooth experience for everyone. On any given day, I may be responding to 25–30 client messages in addition to personal communications, so your patience and understanding are truly appreciated.

My current schedule is as follows:
Mondays - Admin Day (No Clients)
Tuesdays - Client Day 3pm-8pm
Wednesdays - Client Day 9am-5pm
Thursdays - Admin 9am-3pm, Clients 3pm-8pm
Fridays - Reserved for Weddings
Saturdays - Reserved for Weddings
*Occassionally will open up a Friday or Saturday here and there for anyone wanting to get in. These are posted to my story when I’m available.

Thank you for your continued support—I’m incredibly grateful to be so busy and to have such amazing clients.
