🐝 Bee and wasp stings are a common part of spending time outdoors, but it’s important to know when a sting is more than just a painful surprise.

A normal sting may cause localised pain, redness, localised swelling, or itching. A serious allergic reaction can look very different and include trouble breathing, swelling of the face, lips, or throat, widespread hives, dizziness, nausea, or fainting.

Knowing the difference between a typical sting and a severe allergic reaction can help you recognize when someone needs emergency care.
