Father’s Day looks different for everyone. 💙

Today, we celebrate the dads who show up with love, patience, and support. We also hold space for those who are grieving a father, missing a father figure, navigating complicated relationships, longing to become a parent, or carrying the weight of fatherhood in ways others may not see.

At Thrive Family Co., we know that family stories are rarely simple. Behind every Father’s Day post is a unique journey—one that deserves compassion, understanding, and care.

Whether today feels joyful, bittersweet, painful, or somewhere in between, your experience is valid.

Sending love to all those who need a little extra kindness today. 💙

ADHD is often misunderstood.

What looks like inconsistency, procrastination, emotional intensity, or withdrawal is often something much deeper. Many ADHDers care deeply about the people in their lives, yet struggle to reach out when their social battery is depleted or rejection feels too painful. They may lose track of time, start projects with enthusiasm, or experience emotions with an intensity others don’t always see.

Understanding ADHD isn’t about excusing behaviour—it’s about recognizing the invisible challenges that shape it.

If you have ADHD, which one resonates most with you?

In a world that celebrates constant productivity, choosing to pause can feel almost revolutionary.

A few quiet moments alone can help us reconnect with ourselves, regulate our nervous system, and create space to simply be. Rest isn’t something we earn—it’s something we need.

Sometimes the most loving thing we can do is sit in the stillness and listen.

As someone who is neurodivergent, Rejection Sensitive Dysphoria (RSD) is something I feel deeply—and something I wish more people understood.

RSD isn’t about being “too sensitive.” It’s an intense emotional response to perceived criticism, rejection, or failure that can impact relationships, confidence, and daily life. For many people with ADHD and other forms of neurodivergence, it’s an invisible struggle that often goes unnoticed.

The more we talk about it, the more we reduce shame and increase self-awareness. Understanding ourselves isn’t an excuse—it’s empowerment. When we can name our experiences, we can develop the tools, self-compassion, and support needed to navigate them.

Awareness is where healing begins. 💛

For many people with ADHD, rejection doesn’t just sting; it overwhelms. A passing comment, a shift in tone, or a feeling of being left out can trigger an intense emotional reaction that is rapid, physical, and almost impossible to control. This is often referred to as rejection sensitive dysphoria (RSD), which is not a clinical diagnosis but a common phenomenon experienced by people with ADHD.

In this webinar with leading UK psychiatrist, educator, and author Dr. James Kustow, you will learn:

- Why RSD is part of the emotional dysregulation of ADHD

- What is happening in the brains and bodies of people with ADHD to make rejection sensitivity feels so intense

- How rejection sensitivity can shape behavior patterns such as self-abandonment, avoidance, and perfectionism

- What to do in the moment when you feel triggered and overwhelmed

- Practical ways to build emotional resilience and raise your threshold for triggers over time

- The role of therapy, lifestyle, and medication in managing rejection sensitivity

- What partners, family members, and colleagues can do to respond helpfully (and what to avoid)
