A LITTLE MORE HERE. A LITTLE LESS THERE. | Nasolabial folds are the lines that run from the sides of the nose toward the corners of the mouth. For this patient, the fold was deepest and creating the most shadow near the top, so that’s where I focused most of the filler. I then used a lighter touch lower down to soften the rest of the line without making the area look heavy. Filler isn’t a colouring book—we don’t need to trace and fill the entire line. Strategic placement helped create a softer, smoother transition while keeping her natural expression completely intact.

As a trusted Courtenay, BC cosmetic injector practicing since 2017, these are some of the things you'll never see me post online.

Everyone is free to run their practice their own way, but I believe it's important to remember that cosmetic injections are still medicine. My job is to help you make informed decisions, understand your options, and create a treatment plan that's right for you IF cosmetic injections are something you're interested in.

If you're looking for a cosmetic injector in Comox Valley who values education, integrity, and individualized care over sales tactics and trends, I'd love to meet you at
I'm there next:

THE INITIAL SWELL | If you are new to lip filler, seeing your lips immediately post injections can be a bit of a shock. You may feel like they look fake, overdone, etc. If you find yourself in this scenario, please take a deep breath and trust the process. The swell will go down in 3-7 days and results fully settle at that two week mark. That is then your opportunity to book in your follow-up so we can make adjustments as needed. A LOT of my patients will come back to me for a touch-up because they “miss the swell.” As you can see by our text exchange, this was the case for this patient. I am so happy that she is happy with how they turned out!

When treating nasolabial folds, you may have heard that the cheeks always need to be treated first—but that isn’t true for every face.

Sometimes, restoring volume in the cheeks can help soften the folds. But this patient already had good cheek support, so adding more volume there wasn’t necessary. Instead, I treated the nasolabial folds directly—and for the right patient, this can be so worth it :)

It all comes down to looking at the face as a whole and treating what actually needs attention. In this case, that meant leaving the cheeks alone and gently softening the folds themselves.
If this is an area you’ve been noticing, book a consultation and we can talk about what makes sense for your face.

SHOULD I GET A FULL SYRINGE? | Listen, I know I preach “start with a half” when it comes to lip filler, but I don’t always say no to a full syringe!

When your anatomy can handle the volume and it’s supported by both your goals and your tissue, I say go for it! For this patient, a full syringe (1.2 mL) of Revanesse Kiss made sense. Keep in mind that lip filler often settles by about 30-40%, so typically, the after photos I share include that initial swelling. The same amount of filler never looks the same in every lip.

If you are unsure which makes the most sense for you, I include a consultation at the beginning of every treatment to help make the right decision. Here’s where you’ll find me: Xpose Salon Self Love Beauty Lounge .wellness.collective Clinic 5 Collective

WHAT YOUR FACE ACTUALLY NEEDS RIGHT NOW | Most people do not walk into a consultation speaking in anatomy. They say, “I look tired,” “this fold is getting deeper,” or “do I need botox or filler?” Those are completely reasonable places to start. They are not, however, a treatment plan. Two patients can point to the same area and need very different support. A line may be caused mainly by facial movement. A shadow may come from lost support, anatomy, or the way light falls across the face. Skin can look tired because of texture, hydration, collagen changes, or several layers at once. My job as your cosmetic injector is to understand what is actually changing before we decide whether anything should be treated. My latest blog is now live and I think you should put it on your TBR...

WHY IS NO ONE TALKING ABOUT NOSE FILLER | And the craziest part is these results were achieved without surgery or downtime. I absolutely love what a non-surgical rhinoplasty can do for the right patient. Just a tiny amount of strategically placed filler can support the bridge of the nose, soften the appearance of a bump, and create a smoother, more balanced profile.

UNDER EYE FILLER WHEN IT'S DONE RIGHT >>>> | Under eye filler isn't meant to erase every line and wrinkle. When done right, it restores a small amount of lost volume which brightens the entire face. These results are a combination of the right product, the right placement, and the right intention. Injector choice matters, especially here. It's not just about adding volume. It's about understanding anatomy, choosing the appropriate product (I use Redensity II, a filler specifically designed for the delicate under eye area) and creating results that will continue to look beautiful long-term.

After nearly a decade as a Naturopathic Doctor and cosmetic injector, I’ve noticed that the people who age well usually have five things in common. Let's get into it...
1️⃣ They make healthy habits easier to repeat
2️⃣ They support their skin from the inside out
3️⃣ They think about collagen before they see the loss
4️⃣ They don’t rely on injections alone
5️⃣ They choose skincare that actually supports the skin

I’m breaking down the full blueprint in my latest blog.
