We are excited to be at this great community event and important fundraising effort for the Nanaimo Child Development Centre. The illumination marks the eve of St. John’s Day and celebrates 115 years of service by St. John Ambulance BC & Yukon - 115 years of people stepping forward to help others in moments that matter most.

Observed by St. John organizations around the world, St. John’s Day is a global tradition of service, volunteerism, and community care that has strengthened communities for generations.

As the lights come on tonight, we honour the volunteers, employees, donors, partners, and supporters whose commitment continues to make this work possible every day.

A great day of fun at the South End Day today at Deverill Park. Lots of families, food, bouncy castles, music and good times. Congratulations to the South End Community Association for organizing this very popular and appreciated event. Well done!

We were happy to support the 3rd Annual Ravens Rumble at Aspengrove School on June 5th.

Great displays of team spirit, laughter and celebration for all participants. The Ravens Rumble continues to be a highlight of the year, strengthening connections, building memories, and celebrating community at the school.

We were happy to support the Uplands Park Elementary School at their fun fair. The community event was June 5th, featuring lots of fun with games, bouncy castles, concessions and a barbecue. Thanks to all the volunteers for organizing this great event.

We were proud to support the Pacific Biological Station at their Open House today. What a wonderful opportunity for our community to visit the facility and learn interesting things about sea life.

You should come check it out! It’s a great facility, there are lots of exhibits, touch tanks and things to explore. It’s free and open to the public from 9am to 4pm today!
