There isn't really a "typical" day when you own a home care company.

Some mornings begin with a call from a family whose mom has just been discharged from the hospital and needs care today. Others begin celebrating a caregiver who's gone above and beyond or welcoming a brand-new client into the Just Like Family Home Care family.

Throughout the day, I'm talking with families who are worried about their loved ones, checking in with caregivers, meeting with hospitals and community partners, solving unexpected challenges, interviewing new team members, and making sure every client receives the compassionate care they deserve.

Some days are incredibly emotional. We celebrate birthdays, recoveries, and milestones. We also walk alongside families during some of the hardest moments of their lives.

People often ask me what the best part of owning Just Like Family Home Care is.

It's not building a business.

It's hearing a daughter say, "Mom smiled today for the first time in weeks."

It's receiving a message that a caregiver has become "part of the family."
