We’re proud to recognize Meagan Davis, Charge Nurse on the Acute Care Unit, as our very first Healthcare Hero!

For 13 years, Meagan has been a dedicated member of the LACGH team. Meagan continues to make a difference through her commitment to patient care, teamwork, and leadership. Her contributions help ensure patients receive exceptional care while supporting a positive environment for staff and families alike.

Here’s what Manager of In-Patient Care services, Holly McCabe had to say:

“I am proud to recognize Meagan Davis, who is a remarkable Charge Nurse on the Acute Care Unit. Meagan has worked at LACGH for 13 years and demonstrates outstanding leadership, dedication and excellence in patient care. She creates a stable and positive environment for both patients and staff while coordinating patient flow and prioritizing competing demands. Her leadership is invaluable and has made a lasting impact on the unit.”

Behind every patient journey is a dedicated team providing compassionate, patient-centered care every step of the way.

Our Acute Care Unit supports patients through illness, injury, recovery, and discharge planning, ensuring they receive the care, monitoring, and support they need when it matters most.

From administering treatments and coordinating care plans to helping patients regain strength and independence, no two days are ever the same. What remains constant is the commitment, expertise, and kindness of this incredible team.

For Delores and Barbara, volunteering is about people, connection, and community.

As dedicated members of the Auxiliary, they volunteer twice a month in our Coffee Shop, welcoming visitors with a friendly smile and helping support our hospital. Both have been active members of the Auxiliary for many years and have contributed to countless fundraising events, from tea parties and cake auctions to Valentine’s Day celebrations and Light Up a Tree.

Barbara’s connection to LACGH spans decades she worked at the hospital for 27 years before retiring and has continued giving back as a volunteer for over 25 years.

What keeps them coming back?

The people. They love meeting new faces, making connections, and being part of the LACGH community
