WOW! What a busy day it was for the first ever Children's Eye Exam day. 28 busy kids made it through the clinic to get their eyes checked days before school started.

A huge THANK YOU to the Neepawa & Area Immigration Settlement Servies who came out to keep the kiddos busy while they waited for their turn to get their eyes checked.

You can still have your child's eyes checked this year. Manitoba Health covers children's eye exams once/year, and Kindergarden kids may be eligible for a free pair of glasses through the Eye See Eye Learn program.

Little known fact: In Manitoba, 3/10 kids see an optometrist to have their eyes checked.

Some great press from the Banner about the upcoming Children's Vision Day. Limited appointments are still available for the day of. If you can't book a visit on that day, kids can be seen any day of the week. Get them checked out before school starts!

Tomorrow is going to be a sad day in Neepawa. Our wonderful long term team member Elodie is retiring.

Feel free to drop by the office tomorrow or comment on the post to give her well wishes , before she heads off to enjoy retirement closer to her family and grandkids.

Optometrists across Manitoba have dedicated September 2 as Children's Eye Exam Day

80% of learning is visual. Ensure that your child's vision is good before they go back to school. Kids exams are covered once/year through MB Health, and Kindergarden Children may even be eligible for a free pair of glasses through the Eye See Eye Learn program.

Call to book your kids in for their exam and start the 2026/27 school year of right.

You can tell Dr. Papegnies not to quit his day job!

He's been putting down a primer on the filing cabinets to repaint from the horrible pink/purple thats been in the office for years.

What new color do you think they will be?

Our move to the new location will be happening very shortly.

The Neepawa office will be closed on May 6, 7 and 8th while the phones, internet and equipment are being moved into the new location at 424 Mountain Ave.

If anyone has an eye emergency, being sudden loss of sight, eye pain, red eye, please call the Minnedosa office at (204) 867-2455. If an emergency happens after hours, please proceed to the nearest hospital emergency room.

Please wait till the new office is open on May 11th to call about any non emergent matters.
