You may have noticed Lymphatic Drainage isn't available for online booking - why? I'm currently full for NEW lymphatic drainage clients.

Return lymphatic clients can book using the regular massage therapy option for booking follow up sessions.

I love offering lymphatic drainage, especially post-surgical and for oncology care, but working in a maternity clinic means I need space for perinatal and infant work too

As I return from mat leave #2, my capacity is limited and lymphatic & post-surgical work often requires ongoing care.

I will keep you posted as my capacity expands! Stay tuned.

Guess who’s back? Back again.

Where did the time go?! I’m still trying to wrap my head around it.

Mark your calendars, I’m back in the clinic come JUNE, but please note that spaces are limited as I ease back into work.

I am available for home visits for infant craniosacral sessions starting in MAY, but this must be booked through me personally, not online. 🐣

Infant care!

A part of my practice I have missed a LOT over the past year!

I can’t wait to get back to working with babies.

I will be available for infant care before returning to the clinic.

Starting mid May I will return to practice upon request for infant home visits.

Our Prenatal Services.

Each sessions is tailored to meet YOUR specific needs on the day of your appointment. Because we know it can change by the minute.

We have a special pillow set designed to support all pregnant bodies during all stages of pregnancy. And if that’s not comfortable we can treat you on your side or semi-reclined on our massage table bolstered by all the pillows necessary.

Massage is safe during all stages of pregnancy - yes, even the first!

Or the third right until the bitter end (yes, we’ve had someone’s waters start to trickle while getting a massage)

We would recommend starting with a 60 or 75 minute treatment to determine your needs and according to your pregnancy journey. Sometimes longer appointments are too much, sometimes shorter is never enough.

Billing - prenatal rmt sessions can be billed under any extended benefit plan that covers Registered Massage Therapy. We direct bill to most major insurance companies.

How to find us and book with us!

The Nest is a part of Apple Tree Maternity clinic in Nelson.

When you make an appointment with Apple Tree they will direct you to our services, or you can find us on their website.

You can also book directly through our website and online booking site.

Why is our Jane app (online booking page) called Apple Tree Orchard — because we are part of Apple Tree Clinic. Wild berry physiotherapy and The Nest are collectively called Apple Tree Orchard. We each have rooms in Apple Tree Maternity Clinic.

A bit confusing, yes. It unfortunately is and we are working to make us more accessible.

The world feels intense right now.

And your postpartum body has been through a lot. It’s a major transition and life event - in every way.

Allow yourself the moments of rest as they come. Make time and prioritize rest and connection. Do what you need to do to fill your cup.

Your capacity is important for your healing, your baby, and the world around you. We are all connected.

I find it’s so easy to be hard on ourselves for an emotional outburst, when you lose your temper with your toddler. Or for the frustration that comes when you can’t sleep. But this isn’t a reflection of your fault, it’s that there are a lot of demands on you and you need to be nurtured.

Making this post is more of a reminder to myself than anything. I hope it helps someone else too.
