The dyad - birthing parent and baby. The relationship is interdependent. Postpartum healing, health and wellness happens simultaneously.
So should treatment, care & support. Traditional cultures have always recognized and implemented this.
Perinatal psychology supports this.
Craniosacral and fascial therapy can & should be done simultaneously because infants never enter the treatment room alone.
Treatment for parents and babies happens as needed as you show up. It could be different every day.
Usually this is done with mothers and their infants - but this does not exclude the other parents or babies primary attachment figures! When I say mom & baby, I also mean birthing parent, dad’s, caregivers, even siblings sometimes. The family system is a complex web of interactions between that reorganizes after the birth of a baby. Bodywork can support everyone ✨🤍
