Hello beautiful humans 🌸 it’s been awhile since I hopped off my story’s and into a post here! I want to share a little about what’s simmering under the surface here for my wellness offerings.
I’m in a transitionary phase right now, (who isn’t during Spring season!?) as i dive into month 2 of my 4 Breathwork Facilitator Training weekends.
If you have been around me in the past year you may know I took a 6 month self inquiry course in Somatics with Reanna Costa of Shuswap BC, called the Boulter Method. These teachings in re-parenting, trauma-informed support, coping mechanisms and de-armouring were passed down to Reanna from her mentor Hal Boulter.
Funny enough, Reanna came to me as a teacher when I was a new yoga teacher around age 20. I was teaching about 25 hot yoga classes a week (hello burnout lol) in the Lower Mainland. I actually immersed myself in Reanna’s Yin Yoga teacher training TWICE because I loved her perspectives and teachings so much. She went beyond Yin Yoga and into the soma and this work RESONATED.
To this day, I teach the way I teach thanks to learning Yin yoga from Reanna. When I heard of Boulter Method and was in a deep burnout after 2 rigorous years of RMT school and board exams, I was called to take this path home to myself with Reanna’s guidance and support. I was searching for a way back to my body’s intuition after years of mental marathons.
Breathwork Facilitation, like yoga, is something I never planned to teach. This is what happens when I find a tool that works for me, I dive in with only the intention of learning more to make sense of it in myself, to understand and hear my own body’s innate wisdom… to get out of my critical thinking… and here we are 11 years after my first YTT. What feeds me most in life is guiding a room of people into a parasympathetic state. I suppose life speaks to me through my body, and I want to help you make this connection in yourself.
I have so much more to share but my post is too long to do so 😂 please stay tuned for more on 1:1 and group Breathwork offerings and a new Massage offering ✨
So excited to share this work with you. Thank you to my teachers and the teachers before them 🙏🏽
