UPDATE! Moving in February 2024✨📦

These four needs are essential for healthy development as children. When one of the needs are missed, our sense of self can become distorted and impact us later in life. Although we cannot change our upbringing, we can try to cultivate these needs now. 🌱

To better understand this, listen to the podcast linked below (19:30 minutes in). Dr. Gabor Maté speaks about this in such simple words and continues to be one of my favourite Psychologist and writer.

When faced with an issue, most people want to fix it and fix it...yesterday!

This dynamic tends to show up in my office. Clients wanting to "fix" themselves or others and are wanting the results now. Therapy can take time.

If you can relate to the "fix it" mentality, give this podcast a listen. If you can't relate to that, but want to start therapy or feel stuck in the progress, give it a listen. 🧠🎧

This podcast is tailored to the NARM approach to therapy(NeuroAffective Relational Model) and is not talked about enough!

Give it a listen:

Happy New Year ✨
I found a very fitting quote about motivation that I believe is a good reminder for everyone going into 2023. Our "resolutions" or goals for ourselves this year may not stick if we are not the one's driving them.
