Individual counseling services through an evidence based trauma informed approach which focuses on the neurobiology of trauma and how attachment experiences impact how the brain and body react to stress. I employ a variety of integrative therapies which are helpful for regulating the brain, body and nervous system and improving the overall ability to manage stress. I use sensory rich integrative approaches such as art, bilateral stimulation, resource installation, somatic/body movement work, mindfulness, and meditation to bring awareness to the felt experience in a safe structured approach. It is marked by a felt sense of loss of control. Through a phase based approach I work with people to help build understanding of how the brain and body are impacted by trauma, safely process their experiences, and increase their tolerance and ability to respond to stress effectively. I am a Certified Trauma Integration Clinician and licensed private practitioner. I work with people to help identify and manage their emotional and physiological state, increase authenticity and the confidence to express it, and to increase their ability to set healthy boundaries around their feelings and needs. My experience includes working with individuals, couples and families, and marginalized groups who experience a variety of issues including trauma, concurrent disorders, grief and loss, stress management, communication difficulties and interpersonal conflicts, and power and control dynamics.
