AILEEN O'GORMAN 1929-2026

Aileen was truly a remarkable woman. Even at 97, she was sharp as a tack, with a memory so impressive it could make the rest of us blush. She could recall names, dates, people, and stories with incredible detail, and you quickly learned there wasn’t much that got past her.

Aileen was a strong, intelligent and highly respected woman who wasn’t afraid to speak her mind.

Behind that strength was a woman with a lifetime of stories, wisdom and experiences that we were fortunate enough to share. Aileen left an impression on the people around her, and her presence within our home will be deeply missed.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to Aileen’s family, friends, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

Rest peacefully, Aileen. ❤️

On August 2nd, the Tri-Towns and the Northdale Manor family have lost one of our most iconic and unforgettable residents, Mr. Eric Campsall at the age of 102.

Everyone enjoyed Eric. He had a way about him that was entirely his own—from his unique stories and unmistakable personality to the memories he created with the people around him. What was especially inspiring was hearing the respect, affection, and memorable story that seemingly every resident at the Manor had about Eric. He truly left an impression wherever he went.

They just don’t make them like that anymore, and that’s unfortunate, because Eric was truly one of a kind.

Mr. Campsall, thank you for the stories, the laughs, the memories, and most of all, for the spirit you brought to Northdale Manor. You will be remembered fondly by residents, staff, and so many throughout the Tri-Towns.

On behalf of everyone at Northdale Manor, thank you, Eric. It was a privilege to have known you.

Rest peacefully, Mr. Campsall.💙

🎄 A Special Thank You to Our Very Own Dan Hackett! 🎄

Northdale Manor would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to our cook, Dan Hackett, for his incredible efforts in organizing his Christmas in July fundraiser in support of Northdale Manor.

Dan is so more than a cook—he is a valued member of our Northdale Manor family. His generosity, dedication, and willingness to go above and beyond for our residents is extraordinary.

It’s people like Dan who help make Northdale Manor the special place it is. We are incredibly fortunate to have him as part of our team and grateful for everything he does, both in the kitchen and beyond.

Thank you, Dan, for putting your heart into our Manor and for making Christmas in July such a meaningful fundraiser. We’re very glad to have you on our team! ❤️🎅🎄

🕊️ In Loving Memory of Mrs. Cecile Rivard 🕊️

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of one of our dear Northdale Manor residents at the remarkable age of 98.

Although she called Northdale Manor home for only two years, she and her family became a special part of our Manor family. She was blessed with 13 wonderful children, and we were fortunate to get to know so many of them through their frequent visits, their participation in activities, and the many moments they shared with us here at the Manor. We sincerely hope her family will continue to stay in touch, stop by for visits, and remain part of the Northdale Manor family. ❤️

This goodbye also came with a very special and beautiful moment.

On the 6th, our Monarch Project came into full bloom, and one of our beautiful monarchs was ready to begin his journey. Without hesitation, we knew that one of them needed to be named Rivard. 🦋

That very same day, Rivard spread his wings and began his journey — a beautiful and touching reminder that while goodbyes are difficult, the love, memories, and connections we make continue on.

We are fortunate to have had the opportunity to know and care for such a special lady. Our deepest condolences go out to her 13 children, her grandchildren, extended family, and all those who loved her.

She will be fondly remembered by all of us at Northdale Manor.

Fly high, Rivard. 🦋 May your journey be a beautiful one. ❤️

🦋 Our August Monarch Butterfly Project 🦋

Over the past few weeks, our residents had the opportunity to watch tiny caterpillars grow, form their chrysalises, and finally emerge as beautiful Monarch butterflies.

Each resident made a prediction of their arrival, and our newest sweetest resident, Marion Pannell, who guessed August 6th!

However, this was also a day of mixed emotions for our Manor family. We said goodbye to two cherished residents, Mrs. Laura Hobbs (103) and Mrs. Cecile Rivard (98). While our hearts were heavy with their passing, it seemed fitting that on that very same day, two beautiful Monarchs emerged from their chrysalises.

They emerged together and in their memory, we named them Rivard & Hobbs. 🧡🖤

Residents gathered to watch as Rivard & Hobbs were released to begin their remarkable migration to Mexico—a journey of up to 2500 miles.

Watching this beautiful life cycle reminded us about hope, change, and new beginnings.

This hands-on learning experience absolutely captivated our residents! Many have already shared how much they would love to create a Monarch Garden at the Manor so we can enjoy this incredible process year after year.

Milkweed is the essential plant that Monarch butterflies seek out to lay their eggs. We'd love to dedicate a section of our Manor garden to milkweed and other pollinator-friendly flowers to help support these amazing butterflies while giving our residents an opportunity to experience their life cycle every summer.

🌱 If you have access to milkweed plants or seeds, or would like to help us grow this special garden, we would love to hear from you! Your generosity will not only help Monarch butterflies thrive but will also bring joy, to our residents for years to come.

Safe travels, Rivard & Hobbs. May your journey be as beautiful as the lives of the two wonderful ladies whose names you now carry. 🦋❤️
