Happy ADHD Awareness Month!

In honor of this I'm sharing this:

This should be anyone's first, and perhaps, only stop to learn accurate information about ADHD.

I spend a lot of time in my practice debunking myths about ADHD in my effort to ensure kids who need it, get proper assessment and treatment.

An interesting tidbit: The President of the World Federation of ADHD who led this project was/is a professor of my psychology residency program at SUNY Upstate Medical University. He's a well respected man!

Cutting through noise to bring you what the scientific community has taught us about ADHD.

Just a reminder that if you want an assessment completed before the next school year you need to start the process now as the assessments need to be completed before the end of June. Otherwise, your assessment will need to wait until November. Email me at [email protected] to self-refer for your kiddo 😀

Wishing everyone a wonderful first day back to school! All you need to do is show up and do you! You are enough!

Remember to try your best, which looks different for everyone so be kind. Perfection or "being the best" shouldn't be the goal.

Learning, growing, forming relationships, and having fun, while maintaining your mental health, takes priority over grades, rankings, rewards, and praise from others.

You've all got this! I am proud of each and every one of you today and every day!

Trigger warning! The below has to do with sexual abuse. No one ever wants to think that their child could be sexual abused by a loved one but it is more common than being abused by a stranger. Know the question to ask and how to react. The proper reaction makes a huge difference in how children fare.

A Reflection in Numbers of my First Year in Full Time Private Practice:

- I served over 188 kiddos and theIr families in over 906 visits.
- Of those who reported on how they were referred to me, 79 stated it was their physician or pediatrician who mentioned me and 65 reported that they were referred by a friend who has used my services or knew of me.
- The average rating received out of 171 random reviews was 4.9/5!

This venture was a leap of faith but something I felt I had to do when I did. I am so incredibly thankful to be able to do what I love full time! This year has been amazingly fun and rewarding! A big thank you to all of you for your support and trust in having me support your kiddos and your friends! Also, I want to send a big shout out to the physicians, and especially the local pediatricians, who also share my name. I couldn't do the work I love without you!
