💗 Nourishment is a way of caring 💗

At Grace Mobile Care, our caregivers not only just know how to give compassionate care, but also to make home-cooked meals that can bring comfort and nourishment to our clients.

Our home support worker Bill made this hearty breakfast consisting of sandwiches, oatmeal, yogurt, and a fresh banana. Surely our clients at New Westminster had a delicious and healthy start to their morning. Simple, balanced, and comforting, it is a reminder that good nutrition and thoughtful presentation can brighten any seniors’ morning.

🩷 Giving back to the communities that give back! 🩷

Last month, our team at Grace Mobile Care donated fruits, veggies, eggs, and other groceries to the Filipino Seniors Club of BC (FSCBC). FSCBC is the first Filipino Association that was approved by Revenue Canada as a registered charity 🇨🇦🇵🇭 Their mission is to preserve the cultural heritage of the Philippines and interlace it into the cultural mosaic that is in Canada’s culture today. The organization helps distribute bread to vulnerable seniors, single parents, and the under privileged.

We hope that this simple bag of groceries brings comfort, hope, and a reminder that there is always help, similar to our company’s mission. Together, we can continue making a difference, let us continue to help each other and uplift our communities!

👴 June 15 is World Elder Abuse Awareness Day 👵

Today, we stand together to raise awareness for the safety, dignity, and the rights of elders everywhere across the world 💜 Elder abuse can take many forms, whether it be physical, emotional, financial, neglect, or exploitation, far too many cases go unnoticed and unreported.

At Grace Mobile Care, we believe that our vulnerables deserve to be treated with respect, compassion, and peace of mind, even if you are away. This is why we highly encourage our home support workers to get their Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC) before they start work.

By checking in on our elders, listening to what they have to say, and creating supportive communities, we can pay back those loved ones that once cared for us 🤝 Let us continue to speak up, spread awareness, and create inclusive communities where our elders feel safe, valued, and cared for every single day 🫶
