This is the kind of work that reminds me why I became a Social Worker in the first place. 🩷
As immigrants, many of us carry stories of resilience, sacrifice, adaptation, and strength. But we also carry stress, grief, pressure and experiences that often go unspoken.
This conversation is about changing that.
It’s about creating spaces to talk openly about the connection between our mental and physical health, reducing stigma and sharing tools that support healing and wellness in our communities.
As a psychotherapist, there is no greater privilege than giving back through education, advocacy and conversations that help people feel seen, understood and supported.
Thank you to Asante Canada for the opportunity to contribute to this meaningful work alongside Dr. Rukia Swaleh. I’m excited for what we will learn from one another.
