Jackie’s inspiring journey shows that compassion and community know no boundaries. Every step she takes in Portugal helps bring comfort, dignity, and care to those who need it most.

✨Thank you✨ to our amazing community who saw our post last Sunday about in-kind donations for Marigold Hospice. This past week, we had an outpouring of support and we had an INCREDIBLE number of items being donated from families and businesses. We have received 8 full boxes of adult diapers, multiple veggie trays, dairy products and delicious Jam. THANK YOU! 🫶We truly appreciate these items as they help to support the residents in our care, along with the families who come to visit.

This week, on our Wish List tree we are looking for:

🎨✨ We are thrilled to announce that Packer, a local artist, has generously donated a breathtaking 48-inch by 48-inch giclée titled “A New Leaf” to brighten our community. Tim’s vibrant creation will bring colour, inspiration, and joy to our residents and their families every day.

Tim shared, “We have had a rough couple of years with a few family members requiring hospice care, and I know how hard it is for families. I also hear from people that my work can give them a feeling of peace and bring a smile to their face. So I can’t think of a better place for my work to be hanging.”

Today, we are deeply moved and grateful as we share the story of a family who has donated $5,000 in loving memory of their mother, Ethel Robinson. Their generosity is a beautiful tribute to her life and legacy, and a powerful reminder of the impact one person can have on a community. Did you know Marigold Hospice Care takes in-kind donations? ☺️
Some kitchen donations we need are:
-Yogurt, Milk 🥛
-Fresh Fruit 🍎🍌🫐
-Bread, Flour, Cereal 🍞🥣
-Juice 🧃
-Pudding, Soup, Jell-o 🍲

These fresh farm eggs were donated by a family and were used to make delicious egg salad sandwiches. We serve fresh baked goodies and sandwiches in the bistro for families and visitors to enjoy. 🥪🥚

We always need personal care products; we accept unopened products like: adult diapers, soap, lotions, toothpaste and brushes. If you have some of these at home, drop them off!
