Muscles are working every day—whether your dog is chasing a ball, hiking, playing with friends, competing in a sport, or simply getting up and down from the couch.

Regular muscle maintenance can support healthy flexibility, circulation, range of motion and relaxation throughout a dog's life.

You don't have to wait until your dog is a senior or experiencing a problem to start thinking about muscle wellness.

Healthy muscles matter at every age 💜

Back to school... back to routine!

For many families, today marks the return of a much busier schedule.

And our dogs notice that change too!

After weeks of having everyone home more often, suddenly their people are leaving for work and school, walks may happen at different times, and the house gets a whole lot quieter.. and to the "Back to School", may seem like a family thief!

Try keeping their routine as predictable as possible—regular meal times, exercise, enrichment and rest can help make that transition easier.

And don't forget... they missed you too️🐾

We often focus on our dogs’ joints and muscles, but the area around their ears is just as important for overall health and comfort. Gentle massage around the ears can be highly beneficial:

1. Promotes circulation: Increased blood flow helps keep ear tissues healthy and can speed recovery if minor irritations occur. Healthy circulation also nourishes muscles and cartilage.

2. Maintains flexibility: Ears are made of cartilage and small muscles. Keeping them mobile prevents stiffness, which can lead to discomfort or even affect hearing over time.

3. Supports sensory function: Dogs rely on their ears not just for hearing, but for balance and spatial awareness. Flexible, healthy ears allow them to orient themselves more effectively.

4. Reduces tension and stress: The muscles around the ears can hold tension, especially in anxious or active dogs. Gentle massage helps relax these areas, promoting calm and comfort.

Caring for your dog’s ears is more than hygiene—it’s about mobility, comfort, and overall well-being. Even small daily practices make a big difference 🫶

🐾 One last summer weekend...

We are away until September 7th. I'm taking a little time to enjoy the last long weekend before the schedules, routines and back-to-school hustle kick in!

I hope you and your pups enjoy these last few days of summer—whether that's one more adventure, a backyard nap, a long sniffy walk or simply some extra time together.

We'll be back September 8th, rested and ready to see all those furry faces again! 💜

🐾 See Me Sunday 🐾

Meet Spence ❤️ — a 7-year-old Hound/Shepherd mix weighing around 80 lbs, with a whole lot of hound personality packed into one big handsome boy!

Spence is house-trained, crate-trained, affectionate, and wonderfully social with other dogs, including little ones. He'd love having a canine companion!

He's a pretty easygoing guy who enjoys walks, tug, Kongs, chews, car rides, and then settling in for some couch time. Basically, he's happy to be wherever his people are. 🥰

Spence does have a strong prey drive, so cats and small animals are a definite no. He'll also need a home without young children due to previous concerns around food and being rushed or handled while eating.

He's looking for an experienced family who understands his hound instincts, respects his boundaries, and will continue positive training with him.
