Today we celebrate Ashton šŸŽ“and this incredible milestone. It feels like just yesterday he was heading off to kindergarten, and now he’s graduating high school and preparing for the next chapter.

As for me, I’ve officially survived graduation #3. Now I have a 10-year break before Judah’s turn. Ask me again in 2036 how I’m feeling about that. šŸ˜…

Yesterday was full—a field trip with Judah, then teaching at the studio, and back again early this morning. As an introvert, I feel the energy drain! With that awareness, today I gave myself the gift of a quiet walk, and then some time to lay down in the grass, letting the earth hold me.

I’ve been sitting with an idea that has been on my heart for this summer…

What if we explored the timeless wisdom and poetry of the Psalms through the practice of yoga?

Each class would weave together mindful movement, breath, meditation, and reflections inspired by a different Psalm—offering space to slow down, reconnect, and explore themes such as peace, courage, trust, hope, grace, and rest.

This wouldn’t be a Bible study or a church service. It would be a gentle, welcoming yoga practice where the ancient words of the Psalms become an invitation to pause, reflect, and simply be.

Whether these ancient prayers are deeply familiar to you or completely new, this series is an invitation to slow down, breathe, reflect, and discover timeless wisdom for everyday life.

Everyone is welcome—whether your faith is strong, you’re spiritually curious, or you’re simply looking for a meaningful yoga experience.

Some of the themes we may explore include:

On Father’s Day, I’ve been thinking about the incredible example my dad has been.

He’s one of those people who naturally brings light into a room. He’s cheerful, kind, and always looking for a way to make someone laugh or feel at ease. But what has impacted me the most isn’t just his personality—it’s his character.

I’ve watched him love my mom with devotion, respect, and unwavering commitment. He always made our family a priority. He worked hard, rarely complained, and quietly did what needed to be done to provide for us. He showed us that strength isn’t always loud. Sometimes it’s found in consistency, sacrifice, and showing up every single day.

As I’ve grown older, I’ve realized that children don’t just remember the big moments—they remember how they felt because of the example their parents set.

To all the dads out there: never underestimate the influence you have. Your patience, your integrity, your presence, your love for your family, and the way you treat your partner are shaping hearts in ways you may never fully see.

Dad, thank you for showing me what kindness, faithfulness, humility, and unconditional love look like. I am deeply grateful to call you my father. Happy Father’s Day. ā¤ļø

There is a reason so many of us are drawn to lavender.

Its gentle fragrance has long been associated with calm, rest, and emotional balance. Simply pausing to breathe in its scent can become a reminder to slow down, soften, and return to the present moment.

In yoga, we aren’t trying to escape life’s challenges—we’re learning how to meet them with a steadier mind and a more open heart.

Like lavender, yoga invites us to create moments of peace in the middle of a busy world.

When we slow our breath…
our nervous system begins to settle.

When we quiet the mind…
we begin to hear our own inner wisdom.

When we reconnect with ourselves…
we often discover that the peace we’ve been searching for has been within us all along.

Have you ever noticed how often we think beautiful things about other people?

We admire someone’s smile.
Their outfit.
Their haircut.
The way they speak to others.
Their kindness.
Their strength.
Their courage.

We think, ā€œShe looks amazing today.ā€
ā€œHe’s such a genuinely good person.ā€
ā€œI love the way she carries herself.ā€

And then… we keep it to ourselves.

What if we didn’t?

What if we took the extra 10 seconds to tell someone?

A sincere compliment costs nothing, but it has the power to brighten a day, boost someone’s confidence, or remind them that they are seen.

The truth is, most of us are walking around carrying challenges that others know nothing about.

A kind word won’t solve everything, but it might be exactly what someone needs in that moment.

So here’s your invitation today:

Today, two different people shared something with me that touched my heart deeply.

One sent me a message describing how she was sitting outside practicing her breathwork, listening to the birds, trusting that it was safe to be still, to take up space, and to make time for herself.

The other shared after a yoga therapy session that being held in a safe space was teaching her how to create that same safety within herself.

As I reflected on both conversations, I felt so much gratitude.

I get to witness people reconnecting with themselves.

I get to watch people discover their own strength.
Their own wisdom.
Their own breath.
Their own capacity to heal.

Yoga has taught me that healing isn’t about someone else having the answers. It’s about creating the conditions for people to remember that so much of what they need already lives within them.

I feel incredibly grateful that this is the work I get to do.

To walk alongside people.
To witness their growth.
To hold space for their journey.

It feels deeply aligned with what matters most to me.

And for that, my heart is full. šŸ¤
