Long before calendars, before clocks, before we outsourced our sense of time to our phones - humans knew this season was different.
Across cultures and continents, the longest day of the year inspired ritual, celebration, and reflection.
The ancient Celts marked the turning points of the year as moments of meaning and connection to the natural world.
In the far north, the solstice was a time when the sun seemed to stand still in the sky.
In Slavic traditions, midsummer was celebrated with fire-jumping, flower crowns, and floating candles carried downstream - rituals of love, release, and renewal.
Across generations, people gathered to honour the light, the season, and the mystery of being alive within it.
I’m still curious about all of it. I hope you are too.
This event is extra special for me as I am joined by my dear magical friend where she will be holding down the space with incredible drumming, tuning forks, and energy healing. In addition - a little introduction to sacred circle dancing with my wise friend Mihaela. ✨☀️🧡
Come as you are - whatever you believe - and embrace a sense of lingering as we approach the longest day of the year.
