Our Foundry Work & Education program has partnered with United Way to bring two new summer jobs to youth!

BUILDING ASSISTANT AT SILVER HARBOUR
EVENT ASSISTANT FOR MAMAS FOR MAMAS

Interested applicants must be:

1. on income assistance/ disability assistance/ hardship assistance/ or qualified to receive assistance from a Treaty First Nation or First Nation Health Authority
2. Live in North or West Vancouver
3. be 24 years old or younger

We are looking for North Shore youth aged 12-24 who are interested in sharing their creativity and having it published and celebrated as part of our newsletters, such as:

Navigating Screen Battles with Conscious Parenting

Struggling with screen time battles, gaming limits, or social media boundaries? You’re not alone.
In this practical and heart-centered workshop, parents will learn how to set clear, confident limits around screens and technology using Non-Violent Conscious Communication, inspired by Marshall Rosenberg, without power struggles, shame, or disconnection.

Discover how to move from reactive “because I said so” parenting to grounded leadership that builds trust, cooperation, and long-term digital responsibility.
You’ll also experience simple somatic (body-based) tools to stay calm and regulated during tech conflicts so you can respond instead of react.

SMART Recovery Parents & Caregivers meetings are a dedicated space for parents and caregivers of youth aged 12-24 who are struggling with substance use. This group is based on SMART Recovery’s Family & Friends program, offering a science-based compassionate approach to support your loved one – while also caring for yourself.
