Poor Air Quality alerts
Smoke and poor air quality can affect everyone, especially children, older adults, pregnant individuals, and those with asthma, COPD, or heart disease.
To protect your health:
• Stay indoors with windows closed when possible.
• Limit strenuous outdoor activities.
• Use air conditioning or a HEPA air purifier if available.
• Stay well hydrated.
• If you need to be outside for extended periods, a well-fitted N95 respirator can help reduce exposure to fine smoke particles.
Seek medical attention promptly if you develop severe shortness of breath, chest pain, confusion, or worsening breathing symptoms.
Take care of yourself and check in on family, friends, and neighbours who may be more vulnerable. 💙
