While eye dilation oftentimes comes with light stinging, sensitivity to brightness, and blurry vision, dilation is important for early detection of a multitude of eye diseases, as well as rapid-onset and development conditions like retinal detachment.

Conditions like glaucoma, cataracts, diabetes, high blood pressure, Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (EDS), and Age-related Macular Degeneration affect your eyes, and dilated exams widen your pupils so that our optometrists can see your retina, blood vessels, and optic nerve clearly.
