Rotation in boxing doesn’t just come from the arms.

It comes from the thoracic spine. 🥊

In this video, we assess thoracic rotation capacity, then use a split stance banded isometric position to train controlled rotation under tension.

Assessment → Movement → Correction

The goal isn’t just to rotate further — it’s to control rotation while resisting force.

Better thoracic control = cleaner rotation, stronger punches, and more efficient transfer through the chain.

Most fighters don’t lack power.

They lack control through the mid-spine where rotation actually happens.

What do you feel limits your punches more — mobility or control? 👀

Most fighters train their neck for strength.

But very few train it for control and rotation. 👀🥊

In this boxing series breakdown, we assess cervical spine movement, look at the anatomy behind rotational capacity, and apply Neck CARs drills to improve control and articulation.

Assessment → Anatomy → Exercise

Better neck control = better positioning, awareness, and resilience in the ring.

Tight forearms don’t always come from the flexor side.

Sometimes the issue is on the opposite chain. 👀

In this drill, we use the Reverse Prayer Stretch to tension the wrist extensor group through controlled wrist flexion and elbow extension.

Key focus:
• Palms stay together throughout the movement
• Elbows remain fully extended
• Controlled descent to increase extensor loading

This targets the wrist extensors (ECRL, ECRB, ECU) and brachioradialis — areas commonly overloaded in gripping sports and repetitive training.

Useful for elbow irritation patterns often seen in “tennis elbow” presentations and general forearm stiffness.

Better balance in the forearm = better control at the hand and elbow. 🧠

If your overhead movement feels tight or restricted, it’s not always a “shoulder problem.” 👀

In this drill, we use banded overhead distraction in a hinge position to create true mechanical space at the glenohumeral joint while lengthening the latissimus dorsi, teres major, and thoracolumbar fascia.

The key is not just stretching — it’s creating separation and length under controlled tension.

Distraction force → joint space → tissue length

Better space = better overhead mechanics. 🧠

Not all hip power issues are about strength.

Sometimes it’s just restriction. 👀🥊

In this boxing bideo, we start with a quick hip rotation check (IR/ER) to see if there’s tightness or limitation — then move straight into a 90/90 hip mobility drill to restore control and range.

Assessment → Movement → Correction

If your hips can’t rotate well, your power won’t transfer well.

Overhead control isn’t just about flexibility.

It’s about how well your shoulder and upper back coordinate under load. 👀

In this drill, we use a Prone Half Angel Ball Pass to challenge end-range shoulder flexion while training scapular control in the scapulothoracic region.

Key focus:
• Maintain “hover” height throughout the movement
• No contact with the floor during the arc
• Control upward rotation without shrugging or lumbar compensation

This emphasizes lower trap and posterior shoulder activation to improve overhead stability and control.

Better scapular control = cleaner, stronger overhead mechanics. 🧠

Not all hip issues are about strength.

Sometimes it’s just restriction. 👀🥊

In this boxing series, we first screen hip extension to check for tightness or limitation — then immediately move into the Hip Extensor Slider to restore proper movement and control.

Assessment → Movement → Correction

If your hips don’t extend well, your power transfer will always be limited.

A simple screen like this can reveal a lot about how you move, generate force, and perform under load.

Boxing performance is built on understanding movement — not just repeating exercises.

This series is structured into 3 layers:
• Assessment of the movement
• Anatomical breakdown of what’s happening
• Targeted corrective exercise

This is where rehab meets performance.

Follow along if you want to move and fight with intention. 🥊

This new tool Tend Focus Massager has become a reliable addition to my practice. Its precision allows me to target specific muscle groups and trigger points without overloading the tissue—something that’s essential in both rehab and performance care.

From a clinical standpoint:
✔️ It helps reduce localized muscle tension and guarding
✔️ Enhances circulation, supporting faster tissue recovery
✔️ Improves mobility when paired with corrective exercises
✔️ Useful for managing chronic
tightness and overuse patterns

For TMJ patients, I’ve found it especially helpful in addressing tension around the masseter, temporalis, and upper neck. When applied correctly, it can assist in decreasing jaw discomfort, reducing headache frequency, and improving overall jaw function.
It’s not a replacement for treatment—but as a tool to support hands-on therapy and guided rehab, it does exactly what I need it to do.
