For 60 years, we have championed health, independence, and quality of life for all of our residents. We pride ourselves on our personalized commitment to care.

We’re committed to providing excellent, personalized care for our short-term and long-term residents and their loved ones. Lynn Valley Care Centre provides both government-funded and private-care beds within a “Campus of Care”, with short-term and chronic care (intermediate and extended care). We work within a system of Restorative Care which maximizes residents’ physical and mental independence.

Our focus is on individuals and meeting their unique needs through appropriate activities, care, and support. We are also very proud that our new building incorporates the latest Green Building technology by utilizing geothermal and solar energy, as well as a rain water retention system, to create a truly environmentally-friendly facility. A little encouragement, a game adapted so everyone can take part, and plenty of cheering each other on.

It’s not about getting the game exactly right. It’s about finding a way for everyone to join in, have fun and feel successful.

Same materials. Completely different ideas.
Our residents spent the afternoon experimenting with colour, texture and collage, choosing the details that caught their eye and making each piece their own.

If you stopped by Lynn Valley Care Centre recently…

…you might have heard laughter from an outdoor bingo game.

You would have met dedicated staff and enthusiastic volunteers.

And if you were lucky, you may even have been greeted by a friendly four-legged visitor.

Sometimes the most meaningful moments are completely unexpected. ❤️

A few days ago, while organizing our activity shelves, we came across a German-language book. Tucked inside was an old black-and-white photograph.

One of our team members brought the book to a German-speaking resident and asked if he recognized the people in the photo.

Without hesitation, he said, “That’s my dad and my sister.”

A few days later, with his family’s permission, we colourized the photograph and shared it with him.

Moments like these remind us that every resident has a lifetime of stories, memories, and treasured connections
