Job Opportunity: Agency Shelter Cooks

Are you a culinary maestro with a passion for making a difference? Impact Life Home Care, a leading healthcare staffing agency, is seeking talented Agency Shelter Cooks to join our dynamic team.

Requirements:
- Post Secondary diploma or equivalent in culinary arts or food services with a current Food Handling certification.
- Minimum 2 years hands-on experience in food preparation and cooking, ideally in a restaurant, institutional, or similar setting, with a focus on cultural food preferences and dietary restrictions.
- Training/experience encompassing all aspects of the food industry, including food safety, preparation/handling, storage, and sanitation.
- Knowledgeable about food nutrition, adept at healthy menu planning, and dedicated to promoting healthy living.
- First Aid and CPR Training.
- Current police vulnerable sector screening (VSS) is mandatory.
- Access to transportation for food procurement within the region.
- Full vaccination status (proof required).
- Working knowledge of Anti-Oppressive and Feminist frameworks.
- Flexibility to work some evenings and weekends as events demand.
- Basic computer competency.

Compensation:
Hourly pay: $20 (increased after 6 months of probation)
